Everything about the Fungal Conservation Pledge

At the 2024 UN Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) COP16, the governments of Chile and the United Kingdom, in collaboration with the Fungi Foundation, launched the Fungal Conservation Pledge — a groundbreaking step toward securing a future for fungi.
This global initiative brings governments together to promote the integration of fungi into global and national biodiversity policies, agricultural programmes and ecosystem restoration efforts, advancing their conservation and recognising their essential contributions to ecosystems and people.
Already signed by 17 countries, this pledge represents a growing movement to include fungi in environmental decision-making on equal footing with animals and plants.

If you're a policymaker, conservationist, researcher, or simply a fungi enthusiast
— we invite you to join the movement.
